Black Moshannon State Park

Black Moshannon State Park covers 3,394 acres of forests and wetlands and conserves unique, natural environments. More than 43,000 acres of the Moshannon State Forest surround the park and help create a remote and wild setting that provides recreational opportunities in all seasons.

Cold Stream Recreation Area

The dam area is a featured location for Philipsburg’s Heritage Days summer celebration. Live music, a fireworks display, and other activities are held at the park. During the Christmas season, the dam is the site of the giant image of Santa Claus, a beloved tradition in Centre County.

Slabtown Skate and Bike Park in Philipsburg houses a selection of skate and bike ramps, as well as basketball courts, baseball fields, and a playground. People of all ages can enjoy this wonderful area!

Wilderness City DGC is a 9-hole course offering a variety of shots, terrain/elevation change, as well as two basket locations. With over 2000 rounds of disc golf recorded in its first year WCDGC is a proven challenging and well maintained course.

A speedway in Morrisdale that offer a wide array of Kart Racing. Races take place April through Septembrer of each year.

Mid State Regional Airport

Today, the Mid-State Airport is licensed and operated by the Mid-State Regional Airport Authority. It is utilized by private pilots and serves as a forest fire attack base for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Bureau of Forestry.
