What Does Success Look Like? MVEDP Celebrates a Record-Setting 2026

The Moshannon Valley Economic Development Partnership is celebrating a year of momentum across the region, with record-breaking events, significant membership growth, new business financing, continued investment in the Moshannon Valley Enterprise Center, and major plans for the future.
From 45 new Chamber members and nine networking and professional development events to new Revolving Loan Fund activity and continued improvements at the Enterprise Center, 2026 is shaping up to be one of MVEDP's most active years yet.
A Record-Setting Year for Gatherings
MVEDP's Annual Dinner reached the highest sponsorship and attendance numbers in the event's history, a strong demonstration of the support businesses and organizations continue to show throughout the Moshannon Valley.
That momentum continued throughout the year with 3 Lunch & Learns, 1 Municipality Roundtable, and 5 Business After Hours events, bringing together businesses, schools, community organizations, and government partners.
45 New Members and Growing
MVEDP welcomed 45 new members this year, representing businesses and organizations from across the region.
Member benefits also continue to expand through programs including World Kinect energy savings and My Benefit Advisor employee health benefits, along with new sponsorship and advertising opportunities.
MVEDP is also bringing back its printed member directory for the first time in years, with expanded distribution throughout the Moshannon Valley.
Supporting Local Business Through the Revolving Loan Fund
MVEDP's Revolving Loan Fund continues to provide another tool for businesses looking to grow and invest locally.
The program offers loans ranging from $25,000 to $100,000, with rates as low as 4%, covering up to 50% of eligible project costs.
MVEDP has facilitated two RLF applications in 2026, helping put financing behind local business expansion.
Investing in the Enterprise Center
A number of improvements have also been completed at the Moshannon Valley Enterprise Center this year, including property cleanup and landscaping, parking lot and driveway sealing, sprinkler system improvements, window replacement, roof repairs, electrical improvements, and upgrades to tenant spaces.
MVEDP is now meeting with legislators regarding appropriations for an even larger undertaking, a proposed $5 million MVEC roof project.
Planning for the Moshannon Valley's Future
MVEDP completed and published the Moshannon Valley Economic Profile, an important first step toward developing a long-term strategic plan for the region.
The planning process covers the Moshannon Valley and Philipsburg-Osceola/West Branch region across portions of Clearfield and Centre counties.
Community Economic Partners' Maree Forbes Gaughan and Deb Brown are expected to visit the area in early November for in-person meetings, community gatherings, and regional roundtables.

Building the Workforce Pipeline
Workforce development remains a major priority for MVEDP.
The organization continues connecting employers, educators, and job seekers to strengthen employment pathways throughout the region. Current efforts include working with school transition teachers, area manufacturers, and CIU, as well as efforts to recruit a post-secondary educator to the region.
Space Available for the Region's Next Business
MVEDP currently has two commercial spaces available for lease at the Enterprise Center, providing opportunities for businesses looking to establish or expand their presence in the Moshannon Valley.
