Lender Matchmaking Event

Since the fall of 2008, the economy has struggled.  Small businesses have faced many challenges during this period, one of those being the lack of capital.  That is why the Western Pennsylvania Small Business Administration (SBA) is hosting our first Borrower/Lender Matchmaking event.

This event is being created to start the process of offering a variety of lending options to possibly make matches and create success for small business owners.

In it’s April 12 issue, TIME Magazine’s Small Business Section points out, “One of the biggest casualties of the recession may be the health of America’s 27 million business owners. Aging and wounded by the crisis, more than 50% of business owners in the U.S. say they want out in the next ten years. They wish: only 1 % of them will successfully sell their companies each year”.
 SCORE of Central Pensylvania will address the critical aspects of business transition in a workshop entitled: “BUSINESS TRANSITION: PLANNING TO RETIRE’ SELL OR CLOSE YOUR BUSINESS”.

Join the PRC and MVEDP Business After Hours on Monday, May 24 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM hosted by 1 North Front Street Café Books Events.

Directions: From State College, take Rt 322W to Philipsburg. At Weis Markets, intersection of Rt. 322 and 53, go straight through the light onto North Front, Café is located at intersection of Front and Presqueisle Streets. From Clearfield, take Rt 322E. At Weis Markets, intersection of Rt. 322 and 53, turn right at the light onto North Front Street, Café is located at intersection of Front and Presqueisle Streets.

Parking: Street parking is available on Front or Presqueisle Streets, or in the two Municipal Parking Lots off Presqueisle St (one across from CNB, the other across from Universal Furniture).
